Vanc. A recap...

Just got back from an awesome trip to Vancouver/Whistler.  Went primarily to visit friends and the brother but ended up doing so much more.  It was one of the best trips thus far.

Bro and partner created this gluten free Thanksgiving feast which was beyond words.  Corn bread stuffing?  Seriously?  Soooo good.  Followed by a gluten free chocolate torte cake.  I can't even tell you how good that was.  Heavy as hell but sooo rich and calorie laden.  No complaints though.  Boneless stuff turkey with all the potatoe fixin's...how could I ever complain.  It is my favorite meal after all.  It was great seeing the two of them again and I hope I can return the favor some day when they visit Ottawa.

It was then off to Whistler.  Over 30 kms of hiking and fun over the weekend.  Awesome.  Sure the sun wasn't out but who cares really.  It was cool and very comfortable.  I took pics but I haven't uploaded them yet.  Stay tuned.   Funniest part of the hikes came when we crossed a British group of kids who were fascinated with a Raccoon crossing the path.  They were taking pictures like crazy while saying "look a beaver, a beaver!!, take a picture hurry!!".  It was the funniest thing.  I guess they don't have beavers in the UK?  Who knows.  LOL

The best part of it all was the visit to the Scandinavian Spa.  A little sister version of Le Nordic here in Ottawa/Hull, the spa mirrored almost all of the same services.  A bit more pricey but I didn't care much.  For 90 minutes, I treated myself to a hard massage and then 2 hours in the pools.  Boy was I sore the next day.  Ow...

And of course, a trip to Vanc would not be complete without lots and lots of tennis.  You know it is a good tennis trip when you come home with a hand full of blisters.  Awesome.  Forehand has still betrayed me but backhand is still the best out there.  Had some great rallies and it was fun to see the Stanley Park courts again.

I won't be back in Vanc until the new year.  Sigh.  That is going to be a hard stretch.  Thankfully I have Toronto x 2 and then Mexico in January.  Still.....
