Things on my mind.

1. Why is it called rush hour when everything moves so slow?
2. What does PU stand for (as in "PU, that stinks!")?
3. Do you yawn in your sleep?
4. Do Chinese people get English sayings tattooed on their bodies?
5. Why is it that no matter what color bubble bath you use the bubbles are always white?
6. What do people in China call their good plates?
7. Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes that something new to eat will have materialized?
8. Why do they put Braille on the drive-through bank machines?
9. What was the best thing before sliced bread?
10. Why is it, whether you sit up or sit down, the result is the same?

Back on Track

So not many of you knew this but I have been away for the past 9 days on "down time". I can't really call it a vacation because I really didn't do much except sleep, read, eat and work out. Of course I did it on a cruise but still, does that count as a holiday?

Nothing really to report. Was just what the doctor ordered. Rest and relaxation. You should see my amazing tan lines.... ;)

Lynn D's Spin

No wonder Lynn's class is so busy.  Everytime I try to book a spin bike for the early morning class, they are fully booked.  Usually a day in advance.  Today I figured out why...

Walking into the 8.15am class is like walking onto the set of an Abercrombie and Fitch photo shoot.  Everyone is ripped with 6 packs, perfect boobs and arses, legs, chests and shoulders to boot.  Makeup and hair is done and everyone has just the right amount of perfume or cologne on.  Women are decked out in their LuLu Lemon outfits with just the right amount of cleavage and the men are squeezed into their Underarmour gear, no sleeves of course, to show off their bis and tris.  It is quite the show from the back row.  Funny actually.  I have never seen more hair being tossed from the ladies nor smelled more testosterone wafting from the men.  It was a very primal experience.  I felt like I was watching the mating dance of a spin class.  LOL  It was awesome.

Of course, here's me, the chubby bald guy with a bandana in the back watching the show.  I felt like a voyeur.  But hey, that's not a bad job if you can get it.  ;)

Here is an example of what my class looked like.  Seriously!  Just imagine them covered in sweat.....and lots of it.  Cursed beautiful people.  We hate them.

Great Weekend

Couldn't have asked for better weather or activities.  Headed out on Sat morning for an 8am cycle with friends and totally underestimated the cold factor that early in the morning.  Within minutes of riding, I was suffering from the 4 degree cold.  Brrrr.  In case you didn't know, spandex does not really retain body heat all that well.  Sure we look good but.....  Mostly however, it was my hands and toes that were the worse off.  Have to buy some shoe booties.

Sunday's ride was much better.  Waited until just around noon and headed out.  Longer ride but more enjoyable for sure.  Haven't skated much these days as the paths are littered with debris.  No safe.  Oh well, at least I am getting out still.

Me and my new Rock Racing Jersey.  Got lots of compliments on it yesterday.
